Brick House Roses Are Mighty Mighty

Sean brought home some Brick House roses for the garden and I can’t help but sing the Commodores song She’s a Brick House every time I look at them now.

The picture looks a lot prettier than the flowers that are on the plant right now, but I’m sure they’ll improve once they settle in.

I planted them out front in full sun, next to the other roses. I’ve been trying to add more flowers to our landscape.

Brick House Roses Growing Tips

1. Characteristics of Brick House Roses: Brick House Roses are known for their sturdy nature and classic beauty, available in various colors. Their resilience makes them a popular choice for garden enthusiasts seeking enduring blooms.

2. Growing Conditions: Brick House Roses adapt well to various conditions but thrive in well-drained, organically enriched soil. They require at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth. Adequate spacing and good air circulation help prevent common rose diseases.

3. Planting and Pruning: When planting, ensure the crown is at ground level, water thoroughly, and mulch for moisture retention. Regular pruning in late winter or early spring promotes bushier growth and more abundant blooms. Deadheading spent blooms enhances appearance and encourages continuous flowering.

4. Companion Planting: Enhance your Brick House Roses with suitable companions like low-growing perennials or annuals. Plants such as lavender, catmint, or geraniums complement the roses and create a visually pleasing garden bed.
